Often mistaken for the common griffin, the greater griffin is slightly larger and instead of having eagle front legs they have the legs of a lion. They are rarer and smarter than the common griffin. They are always a bronze-gold colour, the males are slightly bigger and more muscular than the females. They are generally docile creatures but if they feel threatened will attack with amazing power.

They are not very well known. Hippogriffs are about the size of a horse. There head and front half is the same as the common griffin, but unlike the common griffin its back half is that of a horse instead of a lion. All sexes are the same tawny-gold colour.

Hippogriffs are more intelligent than a human, but they can’t speak any human

languages.

Bird griffins are griffins that have the head and wings of a bird.

grizzly bear. Their head is that of a hawk with feathery owl like ears, the front half and wings are of an eagle. They have a lion’s tail and legs.
